VDH Update: Coronavirus Cases in Virginia Grow to 1,706 With 41 Deaths

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Health announced Thursday, April 2 that there are now 1,706 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Virginia.

VDH says the state has reported 1,706 cases and 246 hospitalizations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In addition, 41 people have died after contracting COVID-19 as of Thursday. This includes a man from the Farmville area, a woman from Botetourt County and a man in the Mount Rogers Health District.
