For Tuesday, April 14, 2020, the Virginia Department of Health reports 6,171 coronavirus/COVID-19 cases in the state. That's up 424 cases from the previous day.
The number of deaths in the state has risen to 154, up 5 from the previous day. Statewide 978 people are currently hospitalized for coronavirus.
According to the Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association, 422 coronavirus patients in the state are currently in the ICU and 276 of those are on ventilators. Those numbers include some patients whose test results are still pending.
