Lynchburg Business Testing Out Portable Drive-In Movie Theater

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- Nomad Coffee Co. is doing a little experiment to help Lynchburg-area residents get out the house during the coronavirus pandemic, safely.

They said they are looking for a place to set up, including a parking lot, piece of land, etc with enough room to accommodate 25-50 cars. If you want to host a showing, Nomad Movies said they can take care of the rest.

Nomad Movies said they have all the equipment in their possession to move forward.

They are doing a private event at the Lynchburg Humane Society this weekend as a soft opening and are working out the details for the following weekend, May 2-3, for the first public showing.

There will be one showing per day and they are capping it at 50 vehicles per showing.
