More Than 700 New Cases Reported in Virginia as Death Toll Reaches 372

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The Virginia Department of Health is reporting 732 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 10,998 as of Thursday, April 23.

The death toll has increased from 349 to 372. This includes New River Health District's first COVID-19 death.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Thursday shows there are 1,379 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients who are currently hospitalized and patients who are hospitalized with pending test results. They also report that 1,567 confirmed COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
