VDH Reports 14,339 Coronavirus Cases, Up 804 From Previous Day

RICHMOND, Va. (WSET) -- The latest numbers released by the Virginia Department of Health on Tuesday, April 28 show there are 14,339 total cases; 13,794 confirmed and 545 probable. That is an increase of 804 cases from the previous day.

The death toll has risen from 458 to 492.

The Virginia Hospital and Healthcare Association dashboard on Tuesday shows that there are 948 confirmed positive COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized in Virginia and 560 patients are hospitalized waiting for their test results. Of those numbers, 376 patients are in the ICU, and 217 patients are on a ventilator.

The VHHA reports that 1,914 COVID-19 patients have been hospitalized and discharged.
