Gleaning For The World is holding a humanitarian aid supply collection in front of Sam’s Club in Lynchburg this week to help Ukrainian refugees.

The GFTW truck will be at Sam's Club on Wards Rd this week, Monday, March 7 from 12:00 pm until 6:00 pm, and Tuesday, March 8 and Wednesday, March 9 from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm each day.

The public is invited to give brand new, unopened, unused, and in-date items which will make an incredible difference to the Ukrainian refugees.

The organization is also asking the public to donate financially for this effort which will allow them to respond to their overseas partners’ requests quickly.

Monetary donations can be made online at GFTW.org.

At Sam's Club, GFTW is collecting personal care items, new blankets, warm socks, and baby care supplies.

"When everyone comes together to give, we are able to meet the needs of people who are facing utterly desperate and unimaginable circumstances,” Gleaning’s president, Jeane Smiley-Mason said.
