670 People to Lose Jobs After Lynchburg Plant Announces Closure

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — A beauty, personal care and home care solutions corporation is planning to shut down its plant in Lynchburg.

A company representative at KDC/ONE confirmed that it is preparing to close its plant on Robins Road by the end of 2023.

The company conducted a review, analysis and probability of the plant.

Through that review, it became clear that the Lynchburg site was going to shut down.

The company says this will take 18 months and will done be in phases.

In total 670, people work there, including full-time, part-time and contracted employees.

The company is also working with Virginia Career Works to help place its employees in new jobs.
