First National Bank to Provide Financial Literacy Software to Area Schools

First National Bank will provide continued access to financial literacy software to local high schools while also adding access to financial literacy courses for adults. 

The program includes schools located across the Lynchburg and Danville/Pittsylvania County areas.

First National Bank believes that financial literacy is important and necessary for leading a successful and fulfilling life.  

EVERFI and the Bank’s partnership intends to equip individuals with the real-world skills to manage financial goals and milestones.

"Through this partnership, First National Bank and EVERFI will continue to provide access to financial literacy courses to high school students in our local communities," said Aubrey H. Hall, III, President and CEO of First National Bank.

"Additionally, we are proud to announce that we will now also offer financial literacy resources to adults in our local communities through the EVERFI Achieve Adult Financial Education program,” Hall added.

The courses available through this partnership will educate students and adults on important topics imperative to leading an independent and financially healthy lifestyle, including Saving, Banking, Payment Types, Credit Scores, Investing, Financing Higher Education, Renting vs. Owning, Insurance and Taxes, and Consumer Protection.

First National Bank will be working with students in Lynchburg, Amherst County, Campbell County, Pittsylvania County and Danville.
