Despite the public’s reaction, Rihanna has been maintaining contact with her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in recent times.
The two were spotted together in New York in early October at various nightclubs in the city and inside of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn for a Jay-Z concert. Their reconciliation continued in the following weeks, from being spotted at Brown’s Queeby Launch party, and most recently during Halloween festivities were they wore outlandish outfits that grabbed attention.
Recent reports even have Brown likely to keep in touch with Rihanna while overseas for his European tour, set to begin on Nov. 17.
One person close to the “Diamonds” songstress who may not be feeling her move to reconnect with Brown is fellow star Katy Perry.
According to a report from the New York Daily News on Sunday, the “Teenage Dream” singer feels that Rihanna is making a wrong move by mingling with Brown yet again.
Perry’s concern comes from the fact that Brown was charged with physically assaulting Rihanna in February of 2009, with fear that such an incident could occur again.
“They’re barely talking and ever since the couple reunited, there has been tension between them,” the source said of Perry and Rihanna’s strained friendship. “Katy has been spending a lot of time with pals Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Katy fears Rihanna is making a huge mistake and doesn’t want to be a part of it.”
The last time Perry was publicly spotted with Rihanna was at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards, which also happened to be where the bajan vixen was seen giving a hug to Brown on the same night.
