A statewide campaign from the Ohio Department of Health using billboards to encourage breast-feeding has rubbed some people the wrong way. One of the billboards in question features the slogan “Breast milk satisfies” and a baby with milk around his mouth. One Ohio resident said, “When I first saw it I thought, you know, I agree with breast milk, it’s fine, but then I saw it with the milk around its mouth and I thought that was so unappealing. The baby’s cute, but I did not like the milk coming out of his mouth.” The ads are featured throughout the state.

Ideal Age For A Woman To Get Married Is�

Women are hoping to marry at a younger age than they did ten years ago. A fear of turning into “Bridget Jones” and viewing the future through an empty wine glass has prompted a return to traditional values. The Marriage and Wedding Survey of 2,000 women across the UK in their 20s found the ideal age for marriage has lowered to 26, with a first child at 27. By contrast, a decade ago the “right age” for marriage was in the early 30s. Researchers also discovered eight out of ten young women – 78 per cent –believe marriage should be for life. In young women with divorced or separated parents this figure is higher still – 82 per cent still dream of walking down the aisle for lifelong commitment.

The survey also found young women prefer to have children when married. Of those surveyed in the study (conducted by More magazine), only 12 per cent said they would settle for children out of marriage and just 10 per cent would be satisfied with living together. Chantelle Horton, editor of More magazine, said, “’Young women today no longer want to be party girls throughout their 20s only to reach their early 30s and find they’ve loved and lost Mr Right.” Relationship expert Susan Quilliam said the trend was a reaction to the “divorce generation,” with women wanting to create stability for themselves and their children. “Young women have seen too many of their parents’ relationships fall apart and they realize it’s far easier for a partner to walk away when a couple just cohabit,” she said.
